Watercolour and pencil sketch
This post is going to be amazingly short for, as many of you will know, I have done nothing for weeks but write. However, last week, with the end of my draft in sight, I took a break to quickly sketch my Japanese-inspired bowl.
I was thrilled to meet my writing deadline! But boy, it took some doing. Tomorrow I leave for Australia, for a much-awaited visit to family and friends, while the editor looks over my manuscript. I return at the end of the month, and look forward to posting a travel-based blog, a book review and more sketches for you all. And then, there shall be the acknowledgement of my editor’s assessment, and my starting of the second draft.
A holiday is sure sounding good.

Thanks Judy. We are certainly hoping that, regarding the fires, that we are well away from the fires. My youngest lives outside of Brisbane, and the friends and other children are in Melbourne.

I have a little bowl very much that colour one of the children made way back in junior school. Happy memories 🌺🌺. Enjoy your trip.
