Oh, it’s been a while, but I am once more feeling the push to write, and draw. So bear with me while I tell you a little about the two images you are about to see, both claiming my attention on the same day.

I shall start with the first image, which shows an item I would never have thought of owning had I not recently needed hospital treatment, with my heart deciding it show me just how flippant it could be – a week after my successful nasal operation. A trip to A&E and a pronouncement of ‘nothing sinister’ was made. I am improving, but not back to my usual fast walking, just yet. Well, at least I’m walking!

A good friend of mine, who has a similar blipping heart condition, suggested I get a smart watch, as recommended by her doctor for her. Today I took mine for its first outing, although I hadn’t yet figured how to drive it. Thanks to my more technologically minded husband, the watch has been set up with the functions I think I’ll need. Apart from it swamping my wrist, I now await to see how its magical powers function. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

The second thing I’ve produced is a small charcoal sketch, after McCahon, a well-known New Zealand artist. This is a ‘token’ birthday gift to someone who is a an art collector.

I thought it would be fun to do. I think an old thin black wooden frame might suit it.

Oh, I almost forgot! I did one more sketch towards my graphic novel too; intro to my Piano Teacher sequence. This will be on one A4 page. And, next week I hope to put colour to this section.
